Why are our furniture manufacturers ‘pre-Christmas’ delivery dates so long?
Nearly all of our beautiful sofas, chairs, dining furniture and beds are made in the UK, specifically for our customers. This means, for sofas and chairs, the companies need to order the fabric, build the solid wooden frame, and carefully create the sofa or chairs to the height, depth etc as per the customer order.
In the case of dining furniture the pieces will need to be build, possibly sprayed or treated and left to dry.
All furniture is then carefully transported to our store on St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough where it is checked and delivery arranged. Our delivery team will then deliver on a chosen day at a chosen time (no waiting in for hours!) they then place the furniture where required and remove all packaging for recycling.
Therefore it is important to order early to avoid disappointment – most of our major manufacturers, including Duresta, Collins and Hayes, Parker Knoll, G Plan and Stressless close their order book for guaranteed delivery by the 1stDecember – next week – hurry!
However, if you want a last minute gift we have plenty of stock Stressless chairs, and occasional chairs and pieces of furniture – we love these quirky chairs – they are all ‘one offs’ and available to take away!
